Q. WHAT IS BETTER? REPAIRING OR REPLACING A BROKEN APPLIANCE?

A. If there is a broken appliance in your home you have only two possible choices. One option is to call an appliance repair and try to cut costs. If it is successful, you will be able to continue to use your stove, dishwasher, refrigerator or washer and dryer. The other choice is to buy a new appliance.

All home appliances come with an estimated lifetime. If it is a broken appliance in the beginning or middle range of that average lifetime, we would recommend hiring Ericson Appliance Repair. In the event the home appliance is somewhere close to the end of its average lifetime, we suggest replacing it with a new unit when your budget allows.

Here are the estimated lifetimes of all models of home appliances:

Q. WILL YOU REPAIR MY APPLIANCE ON THE INITIAL VISIT?

A. It is always our goal to finish the repair within the initial visit. Over the years, we estimate we are successful in fixing home appliances with only one visit about 85% of the time. We stock most of the standard manufacturer parts in our service vans as well as necessary tools to complete the repair. If we do need to return to finish the work, there will be no add-on cost.

Q. IS THERE A SERVICE WINDOW FOR A SERVICE CALL?

A. When you schedule an appointment from one of our technicians, we provide a two to three hour timeframe for our arrival at your house. And, our technicians will call 15 to 20 minutes before their arrival. We know how important your time is. That’s why we do our utmost to be prompt. Since some repair jobs require more time than anticipated, we give our repairmen some breathing space to finish up a previous job and not be late for the following job.
