A common type of washer repair is for strange sounds coming out of the washer. Ericson Appliance Repair knows how to diagnose the cause of the strange sound and decide whether we need to repair or replace the broken appliance parts. The origin of the noise is usually due to a broken motor or worn belt or bearings.
If your washing machine does not agitate or turn on, first take a look to see if it’s unplugged or if a circuit breaker flipped off. The problem could also be because of a broken latch, timer or thermal fuse. A washing machine that doesn’t turn on or agitate means the cogs, drive belt, coupler or transmission need repair or need replacement.
A washer that won’t spin means there’s a problem with the wax motor, door latch or motor coupling. We can repair these issues fast and have your washer spinning again ASAP!
The usual causes for a washing machine overflowing is the water level pressure switch, water inlet valve or the air dome tube on the washer.
A malfunctioning temperature control switch or inlet hose is typically the reason why a washer does not produce hot or cold water.
A very common dryer problem is loud noises coming out of the appliance. Broken bearings, seals or worn-down belts can lead to loud sounds from clothes dryers.
A clothes dryer that will not create enough heat to dry laundry won’t be very helpful. The source of the issue is either a broken high-limit thermostat, heating element or cycling thermostat. These same parts can also cause a dryer to be too hot. The repairman will inspect the machine to determine the problem and solution.
When your dryer will not turn on, you will want to be positive the appliance is not unplugged and that every one of the circuit breakers are on. If the dryer isn’t unplugged and still won’t turn on or tumble, the heating element, high limit thermostat or cycling thermostat will have to be repaired or replaced.
The exact opposite issue happens when the dryer does not turn off. The reason for this problem is either a broken door switch or timer.
A dryer timer must advance in order to complete the cycle. If the timer will not advance, it might mean there is a broken timer motor or cycling thermostat.
